How it all started! My name is Jocelyn and exercising has become one of the most important things in my life. I have never been able to stick to something as long as I have before now.

In February 2017, I started my journey into functional fitness. It was challenging, but the community was the best part about it. Meeting people who shared the same passion and having them become family has been everything to me.

What is Functional Fitness? 

Movements that you are capable of doing at home like lifting, bending, walking, running.

Another way to describe the type of workout I do is High Intensity Interval Training, where we perform many movements such as Box Jumps, Weight Lifting, Running, Pull-ups and many other compound movements.

Back to my story.......... So in my classes we have Box Jumps.

What are Box Jumps? Just like it sounds, jumping onto a wooden box repeatedly over and over. They may look crazy but they are part of the workouts from time to time. And once in a while you can miss the jump and hit your shins pretty badly. It sounds painful and it is. Some people even have to go to the E.R. to get stitches. In some cases, people stop jumping and simply do step ups because of the fear they have of hurting themselves again.

Have I ever hurt myself?

The answer is YES!!! Several times and it was not pretty. Bloody, bruised up shins are no fun, but all you can do is move forward and hope that it doesn't happen again. When and if it happens again it makes you psychologically scared to jump back on. So I came up with a simple solution to save all shins . . .

and the Box Covers were created!!!! Not only do they  save your shins but they can make you feel safer when jumping. You can now have peace of mind that if you miss, any resulting injury will likely be less severe.

They are easy to put on, take off and simple to clean. They are very stable and serve their purpose.
